Permanent staffing for UK energy, oil & gas, offshore.

Why we exist

Recruiting for UK energy is its own discipline. The certifications matter. The rotation patterns matter. The HSE bar is non-negotiable. The wrong hire on a North Sea platform or an offshore wind farm can cost more than a salary band, it can cost a project window. Generalist agencies miss those signals.

Atlantic Resourcing was set up to fix that. We are a UK permanent recruitment partner with one belief at the centre of the desk: a hire only works if both sides feel cared for. The employer gets a brief taken seriously, a shortlist delivered on time, and a consultant who understands the rotation, the certifications and the platform mix. The candidate gets the truth about the role, the operator and the rotation, not a sales pitch.

What we do, plainly

We place permanent staff for UK oil & gas operators, offshore wind developers, marine and subsea contractors, energy services businesses and onshore engineering teams. Our desk is built around hires that stay, the brief, the vetting, the offer support, the day-7 / 30 / 90 follow-ups, every step geared toward six-month outcomes.

The roles we place most often:

  • Production operators, OIMs, control room operators, process technicians
  • Wind-turbine technicians, GWO-trained engineers, offshore project managers
  • ROV pilots, dive supervisors, marine engineers, vessel masters
  • Drillers, toolpushers, well engineers, completions specialists
  • Mechanical, process, piping, rotating-equipment engineers
  • E&I engineers, instrumentation specialists, control-systems engineers
  • HSE advisors, QHSE managers, safety officers, compliance leads
  • Project engineers, project managers, EPC project directors
  • Decommissioning specialists, P&A leads, removals engineers
  • Maintenance and reliability engineers, planners, fabric maintenance leads
  • Logistics base coordinators, expeditors, supply chain leads

How we vet

Every candidate goes through:

  • Right-to-work verification
  • Reference contact (current and previous operator where possible)
  • Certification verification (OPITO BOSIET / FOET, GWO modules, MIST, OGUK medical, CCNSG as relevant)
  • A structured technical conversation, scenario-tested where the role calls for it
  • Salary expectations, rotation preference, mob-readiness captured in writing

Who we work for

Our clients are UK energy employers, mostly small to mid-market operators, service companies and offshore wind developers. We work with North Sea operators, southern North Sea wind farm developers, subsea contractors operating from Aberdeen and Norwich, and onshore engineering services businesses across the UK.

How we think about a placement

A successful placement is not a CV submission. It is the moment six months later when the new hire has completed two rotations, the HSE record is clean and the project is on schedule. That is the only outcome that matters to us, and the only one we measure against.

Our values, the short version

  • Do the brief properly. A 30-45 minute call up front saves a fortnight on the back end.
  • Tell the truth. If the salary is below market for that rotation, we will say so. If certifications don't match, we will not pretend they do.
  • One throat to choke. One consultant per client, end to end. Holiday cover is briefed properly so nothing slips.
  • Stand behind the work. Free replacement period on every placement. No small print.
  • Offshore-aware by default. OPITO, GWO, MIST, OGUK medical screening as standard for offshore roles.
